88 is an American hip hop duo based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania consisting of brothers Kevin “88 Juice” and Chris “88 Chris” Clark. Raised by both their mother and father, the family moved to the Olney section of Philadelphia while Juice and Chris were young. Olney is where 88 spent their childhood and teenage years. 88 uses music as a platform to speak to and for the average young adult who grows up in the streets.

Long time fans of Jay-Z, Roc-A-Fella records, Drake, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, The Lox, T.I, and The Clipse, 88 found a ton of musical inspiration, sharing a lot of the same stories as these artists. 88 continues to use their voices and platform as spokesmen for the hip hop culture.

88’s sound is cultivated by edgy lyrics mixed with melodic tempos and tones. Fusing aggressive lyrics and content with heavy 808 driven instrumentals, 88 is able to deliver meaningful messages through music while giving each listener a unique experience. The content of 88’s music can be referenced as a universal narrative to add to all walks of life.
