Kenji Is a notable trap artist coming out of Hudson County, New Jersey. He started rapping at the age of 19 and hasn’t looked back since. His musical background features top artist like Fetty Wap, Rich The Kid, and his most recent Manolo Rose. From Asian and Spanish descent, Kenji looks to continue boosting his platform nationally and internationally. Kenji is far from your normal artist, coming from the multicultural and highly Hispanic populated city of Union City, all Kenji knew was how to hustle. With a high percentage of undocumented immigrants in Union City, the hustle to survive and provide couldn’t be any more of a struggle. Inspired by the hustle as a young teen, that’s all he did – hustle.
Looking to music as his way out of trouble with the law after a couple run ins, it’s been the only outlet to express and educate what the mind of a trapper really goes through. Now with a couple of years in the industry, Kenji’s mentality really hasn’t change with the true meaning of hustling. He has applied the hustling mentality towards different side hustles, including his own clothing line as well as holding musical events involving and supporting other local rappers. All this has been a way to put on for his town of Union City located in Hudson County, or better known to Kenji as “Hustle County.”
He has created noise by providing support and creativity to his music, merch and events, volumizing his music to his town. Kenji is nothing less than an independent entrepreneur pursuing his goals as a rapper, trapper and designer. What the future holds for Kenji are endless possibilities to what he has done the past years with his music.
