The Beat Starts with Drei Ros! Romanian born, Drei moved to Seattle Washington when he was 16 and quickly immersed himself in the urban music culture feeding his love of hip-hop and free-style rhymes. In 2009, Drei teamed up with rap artist Burre Collins and Dyce Dylli and quickly formed his first band, B.O.S.S., “Building Our Success Story”. His infectious Romanian accent added intrigue to his English raps and quickly brought success to several singles that evolved into a collective album which the band supported by touring up and down the Pacific Northwest.

In 2010, Drei entered the song “Windin” and beat out 20,000 other songs to win the online Hitlab contest, sponsored by Akon. The song quickly grew to the European markets gaining exposure and big success in Serbia, Greece, Romania, Turkey and Italy. Drei’s win also opened the door to collaborate with Akon on the song “Criminal Minded”, produced by Cool & Dre.

Artists, producers and fans gravitated to his charismatic style and authentic word play as he continued to experiment with a diverse range of music genres working with Jamaican Reggae legend Junior Reid and later with Alex Mica & Evelyn on the single “Like a Freak” and “Euro Bricks” showcasing features by Rick Ross and Gucci Mane.

Los Angeles brought more opportunity to collaborate in 2014 with G.O.O.D. Music artists Pusha T on the club banger “We On”. In 2015 as he collaborates with the european producer Chris Thrace to complete the long awaited single “Jazzy B!tch”

which was very successful in the club circuit in California and other parts of the US. The song “Jazzy B!tch” was licensed with Universal Spain which resulted in releasing the clean Spanglish version “Jazzy Chick” featuring Krisha.

In 2016 after releasing the singles “Girls Everywhere” and “Secret Agent”, Drei released another hit single “Shake Dat Monkey” featuring JBo from YoungBloodz. “Shake Dat Monkey” got over 3 million views on Youtube and more than half a million streams on Spotify. The song also has a latin remix featuring the latin trap star Messiah.
